After knowing each other as acquaintances for a few years, Scott worked up the courage to invite Brenda over for an evening by the fire pit. Little did they know, that simple spark would turn into something much bigger (and we’re not just talking about the fire). 🔥

What started as a casual chat by the fire turned into a night full of laughter, candy, and a couple of drinks—because, really, nothing says “romance” like sugar and snacks by open fire. (Gourmet? No. Perfect? Absolutely.) Somewhere between the goofy stories and shared laughs, we realized we had the same wonderfully wacky sense of humor. A friendship blossomed… and then a relationship neither of us saw coming. (Plot twist: the best kind!)

We did agree on one very important thing early on: our first official date would be for Indian food. Fast forward to now… and that Indian food date is still pending. (At this point, it’s less a date plan and more a legendary myth. But we will get there… probably… maybe.) 🤩

Of course, like any great love story, it wasn’t all perfect harmony. Their only real disagreement? The greatest debate of all time: Jordan vs. LeBron. Scott, a diehard Jordan guy (because, obviously, “six rings!”), and Brenda, team LeBron all the way (“stats don’t lie!”). The discussion never ends — but at least it keeps date nights lively.

In the meantime, we built something even better—helping each other through life’s curveballs, creating a family with Sophie and Adi, and learning that sometimes the best things in life don’t go exactly as planned. (Honestly, who needs “the plan” when you’ve got laughter, love, and two adorable sidekicks?)

What started as a night by the fire has become our favorite adventure. ❤️ And we keep adding new chapters—some messy, some hilarious, all full of love. And honestly? We wouldn’t trade it (or even the uneaten curry) for anything!
